Pomegranantes Raw Silk Appliqued Challah Cover by Yair Emanuel

OK this is going to be the week of the challah cover. As I have been adding new challah covers to our inventory I thought it would be very appropriate to highlight a challah cover each day. As I go through the process of adding a new challah cover it occurs to me time and time again how challah covers make the perfect gift for so many occasions. Since they are at so many different price points they make the perfect house warming gift/ hostess gift, anniversary gift, wedding gift, birthday gift, wedding shower gift…. OK I will stop there. But I think that you get the idea. Yesterday I wrote about the Organza and Velvet Appliqued Challah Covers by Yair Emanuel that sell for $14. So I know that you are sitting at the edge of your seat wondering what today’s challah cover is going to be….OK I know the title gives it away.

So today’s challah cover that I want to mention is the Pomegranates Raw Silk Appliqued Challah Cover also by Israeli artist Yair Emanuel. This challah cover sells for $40 which is a perfect price point for a birthday gift, anniversary gift, or wedding shower gift.

The challah cover is made of raw silk appliqued and attached with embroidery.  The white, gold and silver silk is beautifully decorated with pomegranates – one of the symbols of Israel which also represents abundance and success, along with the embroidered words “Shabbat Ve Yom Tov” (Shabbat and Yom Tov) in Hebrew.  The challah cover measures 20″ x 16″ and is available in three different color combinations.
